Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a post on Twitter reporting that the club are interested in signing Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Menino.

According to Sky Sports (18:12), Spurs are interested in bringing the versatile youngster to the Premier League this summer after searching for South American talent following a change in work permit rules due to Brexit.

The 20-year-old is comfortable playing in either central midfield or right-back and has established himself as a first-team regular at boyhood club Palmeiras, featuring 59 times for the Brasileiro Serie A side since making his debut in January 2020.

Despite his tender age, Menino has a fair amount of experience under his belt and started the club’s victorious Copa Libertadores final back in January, and his potential arrival in north London has got the Spurs supporters excited.

“One thing for sure better than Sissoko and Winks.”
