Pundit Chris Sutton has hailed Gareth Bale’s return to form which has seen the Welshman become a regular starter in recent weeks for Jose Mourinho.

Bale returned to Spurs last summer and struggled to hit the ground running, however, the 31-year-old has recently hit a stunning run of form which has propelled him back into the starting XI.

The Welsh winger has scored four in his last three Premier League games with braces in the games against Burnley and Crystal Palace.

His sudden rich vein of form has caught the attention of football pundit, Chris Sutton, who has commented on Bale’s performances over the last month.

Speaking on 5Live’s 606, he said: “I have to say, he’s looking a different player, isn’t he? He looks up to speed with his fitness, he’s looking powerful and strong.

“It looks like we all thought the Gareth Bale that Spurs had signed, he was going to hit the ground running. It hasn’t happened.

TIF Thoughts on Sutton’s comments…

Bale has certainly impressed in recent weeks. His goals against Burnley and Crystal Palace showed glimpses of the player that football fans were used to seeing during his time at Spurs in 2013 and his early days at Madrid.

Reports have suggested there have been no talks over extending Bale’s loan into next season, however, in this form, Bale is certainly making a solid case for his future at Spurs.
