Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to respond to the latest development regarding Gareth Bale’s future following his two goals scored in the victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Bale returned to Tottenham last summer on loan from Real Madrid and has in recent weeks shown a return to the form which saw him earn the world record highest transfer fee back in 2013.

It has recently been reported by Alasdair Gold that Spurs will have the first refusal on another season-long loan for the 31-year-old come to the end of the season, with Madrid reportedly not wanting the Welshman to return.

The 31-year-old has scored four goals in his last three Premier League appearances and has grabbed two goals in his last two Europa League games (via Transfermarkt).

As expected, after the claim was shared online, the Spurs faithful are absolutely delighted to hear there is a possibility the winger could make a return to the club next season if he is able to continue this fine run of form.

“I’ve said this all along, I want him for another season. I want us to sign him permanently, let him work with the kids, earn his coaching badges and begin another chapter in his career.”
