Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge has been sharing his thoughts on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and his future with the north London club.

This comes after Bridge made an appearance on a recent episode of The Sky Sports Football Pitch To Post Review Podcast, where he spoke about a number of topics concerning Jose Mourinho’s side.

On the subject of Kane and his future at Spurs, which has been called into question in recent weeks, Bridge had this to say on the matter.

He said: “I think this is a key summer. I do think this is a key summer, and it’ll be a key summer for clubs potentially looking at Harry Kane as well.

“Taking my professional hat off for the minute, I’m hoping that the Manchester Citys will be looking at Erling Haaland over Harry Kane.

“It’d be a terrible, terrible summer if Spurs lost him, but I’m sure it will get brought up over the next few weeks and months. He has a big decision to make, that’s for sure.”

As a product of Tottenham’s youth academy, Kane made his senior debut for the Lilywhites back in 2011.

Since then, the 27-year-old, who is currently valued at £108 million, has gone on to make 327 appearances for the club across all competitions in which he has scored 215 goals and provided 46 appearances in the process (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts on Michael Bridge’s comments on Kane and his future…

Given how Kane has scored more goals (17) and provided more assists (13) than any other Spurs player in the Premier League so far this season and is the highest-rated player in their squad with a season rating of 7.78/10 for his performances (as per WhoScored), it’s safe to say that he is a vital figure for Spurs, who would presumably want to keep hold of the striker for as long as possible.

Do you think Kane would want to leave Spurs this summer?

No

However, with Manchester City, who are currently in the running to win four different titles this season, having been linked with a potential transfer move for the Englishman, perhaps a move to Manchester could be beneficial for Kane in terms of winning trophies for the future, in our view.
