Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been sharing their criticism for Sergio Reguilon and his latest performance for the north London club in the first half of their Premier League clash against Aston Villa.
Coming off the back of a very disappointing week for the club that saw them lose 2-1 against Arsenal in their previous league fixture followed by a disappointing 3-0 defeat against Dinamo Zagreb that knocked them out of the Europa League, Jose Mourinho’s side travelled to Birmingham to take on the Villans.
During the first half of the game at Villa Park, lots of Spurs fans on Twitter were sharing their thoughts and feelings on Reguilon and his display, with many not feeling too positive towards the full-back.
So, what did these Spurs fans have to say about Reguilon’s performance during the first half of the game against Villa?
“Reguilon looks so poor defensively”
“Reguilon is looking well off the pace…”
“Reguilon getting exposed again lack of strength and awareness #AVLTOT”
“Reguilon is having a stinker”
“Reguilon has been poor since returning from injury – hope it’s just that match sharpness”
“Reguilon cannot defend at all”
Looking at these tweets from this group of Spurs fans, it’s clear to see that they were not overly impressed by what they saw in the first half from Reguilon, who earns a reported £68,000 per week (as per Salary Sport).
Do you think Reguilon looks off the pace?
Moving forward, the 24-year-old and everyone else at the club will be hoping that he can put in a better display in the second half of the game than he did in the first, or else he could end up being on the receiving end of even more criticism.
