Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been sharing their criticism for Harry Winks and his latest display for the north London club during the first half of their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

Coming off the back of a 1-0 win away at Fulham in midweek, Jose Mourinho’s side took on their London rivals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to try and move closer to the top four in the Premier League table.

However, during the first half of the game, lots of Tottenham fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on Winks’ performance in particular.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say about Winks’ first-half performance against Palace?

 “What does Winks offer? He does absolutely nothing”

@joey_thfc

“The only time winks completes a pass is when it’s sideways or backwards”

@db_thfc

“We cannot create chances with Doherty and Winks on the pitch.”

@THFC_willo

Can winks do anything except pass the ball backwards? #COYS #THFC #TOTCRY

@ConasCycle

“Nothing more painful than watching winks play”

@peter_thfc17

“Hojberg and winks together is horrific!”

@JordanFrancis25

Winks’ last Premier League appearance for Spurs prior to this match against Palace came back in January during their 3-1 defeat against Liverpool (per Transfermarkt).

Do you think Winks is good enough to play for Spurs?

Looking at these tweets from this group of Spurs fans, it’s clear to see that they were not impressed by what they saw from Winks during the first half of the game against the Eagles.

Moving forward, the 25-year-old will undoubtedly be hoping that he can put in a better display during the second half of the game than he did the first, or else he could be in danger of losing his place in the team should Mourinho be thinking along the same lines as these supporters.
