“The only time winks completes a pass is when it’s sideways or backwards”

@db_thfc

“We cannot create chances with Doherty and Winks on the pitch.”

Can winks do anything except pass the ball backwards? #COYS #THFC #TOTCRY

Winks’ last Premier League appearance for Spurs prior to this match against Palace came back in January during their 3-1 defeat against Liverpool (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at these tweets from this group of Spurs fans, it’s clear to see that they were not impressed by what they saw from Winks during the first half of the game against the Eagles.

Moving forward, the 25-year-old will undoubtedly be hoping that he can put in a better display during the second half of the game than he did the first, or else he could be in danger of losing his place in the team should Mourinho be thinking along the same lines these supporters.
