A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their excitement at the latest transfer rumour to involve their club.
According to reports from Spain, there is interest coming from Spurs for Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane ahead of this summer’s transfer window which was relayed by TranSPURS.
The £63m-rated French international is out of contract next summer and Jose Mourinho is reportedly looking to sign the 27-year-old, 10 years on from when he brought him to the Bernabeu.
However, it does not appear as if the centre-back is keen on sealing a move to north London.
Varane has featured 26 times for Madrid in La Liga alone and has managed to found the back of the net twice as the Galacticos chase their city rivals Atletico Madrid, who top the league standings.
In reaction to the tweet, many Spurs fans voiced their delight to see their club linked with such a big name in a position that is believed to be the number-one area for improvement during the transfer window.
