Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to Alasdair Gold’s claim surrounding their on-loan midfielder, Oliver Skipp.
The 20-year-old joined Norwich City on loan last summer, and despite claims he could have been recalled by Spurs in January, he will see the season out with the Championship leaders.
Skipp has featured in all 36 of Norwich’s games in the Championship this season and the midfielder has earned the praise of his manager, Daniel Farke.
However, the Spurs fans were quick to react to Gold’s tweet regarding the future of the youngster, as the journalist relayed pleas from the Canaries fanbase to stay at Carrow Road beyond his current loan deal.
“No deal, however, they are more than welcome to Winks….”
“No. We need him.”
“No chance! We need him…perfect player to backup PEH, where we’re sorely lacking this year….#COYS“
“Cant wait to have him back. Such an amazing talent.”
“How about we take Skipp give em Winks.”
