A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to the injury news regarding Harry Kane after Thursday’s Europa League game.
Kane was substituted late in the game after taking a knock to his knee which concerned some fans as the striker quickly had his knee strapped up with an ice pack.
The 27-year-old striker netted twice in the win against Dinamo Zagreb, but the knock sustained late in the game forced Jose Mourinho into substituting the England captain in the 84th minute.
Journalist Alasdair Gold tweeted an update on Kane’s injury which the Spurs fans were quick to react to on Thursday night.
“To be clear to those who didn’t watch the game he was kicked in the knee. Impact injury. Ice to prevent swelling. Absolutely nothing to worry about.”
“It is telling how awesome a player he is when all of us hold our collective breath no matter the severity of an injury.”
“Wrap him up in cotton wool.”
“GREAT NEWS .”
“Jose should have taken him off at the 70 min mark, yes?”
Will Kane play in the NLD?
It is clear to see from the replies that the Spurs fans are relieved Kane’s injury does not seem as serious as first thought and they will all be hoping he is able to start in Sunday’s game against Arsenal, before the return leg in Zagreb next Thursday.
