The Welshman has found it pretty hard to find his way into the plans of Jose Mourinho so far this season, only making ten appearances in all competitions since his move from Swansea City in the summer window. For his country, it’s a different story, as he has started the last six competitive games under Ryan Giggs and Robert Page.
That includes their win over the Czech Republic last night where he played a major role in sealing the victory. With time running down, he threw this impressive block to deny Ondrej Celustka a chance at a late equaliser.
And it left plenty of fans incredibly impressed with his desire to throw his body on the line in that situation:
“The block itself is impressive but I love the passion he shows after making it, clearly a player willing to fight for the shirt”
Should Rodon start more for Spurs?
The question now is whether or not something like this will entice Mourinho to give him more of a look-in for the Spurs team in the future.
