Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to Tanguy Ndombele and Serge Aurier’s reactions to the latest social media post from Spurs teammate Erik Lamela.

This comes after Spurs-focused Twitter account @TheSpursExpress shared a post that contained a screenshot of a recent Instagram post from Lamela walking in a park with the comments from Aurier and Ndombele making fun of the Argentine’s choice of footwear in his latest post.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were quick to share their thoughts on Lamela’s latest social media post and the reaction it gained from Aurier and Ndombele.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this post about Lamela, Aurier and Ndombele?

“They’ve got a point”

@Ian_P_Brazier

“Bit harsh, he’s just trying to build his leg strength up.”

@MattBadgerSpurs

“Makes him 5 inches taller”

@AHaff24

“Bullying him out of the club”

“They are dodgy”

@happy_spursfan

“They are bad.”

@Patman1884

“Considering the rest of the team’s style, it’s not terrible. Just weird that his shoes are wearing shoes.”

@lypspurs

Spurs signed Lamela back in the 2013 summer transfer window from Italian club AS Roma for a fee of £27 million. Since then, the 29-year-old, who is currently valued at £14.4 million, has made 251 appearances for the north London club across all competitions, scoring 37 goals and providing 47 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that some of these Spurs fans are in agreement with Aurier and Ndombele that Lamela’s trainers in his latest Instagram post are a bit odd.

Given how the Argentine has only managed to score one Premier League goal for Spurs so far this season, perhaps what he wears off the pitch shouldn’t be the biggest concern about the winger but rather what he’s doing on it instead.
