Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on Twitter to the latest update regarding Oliver Skipp’s immediate future.

The 20-year-old academy graduate is currently enjoying a successful loan spell with Championship side Norwich City. Skipp has started all 35 of the Canaries Championship fixtures this term and has impressed Jose Mourinho throughout his time at the club.

Mourinho has publicly praised the combative midfielder in the past saying: “He’s one of these players by human quality, by personality, he is one of these kids that I have no doubt he will be an important player for Tottenham.”

Skipp’s impressive performances have helped the Carrow Road outfit open up a 10-point gap at the top of the second-tier table, and according to Football Insider, the England Under-21 international is set to play a part in Tottenham’s first team next term, a prospect that excited many Spurs supporters.

“Already better than Winks, so at worst, he’d play to give Hojbjerg and NDombele a rest when needed.”

@AryehLender

“He’ll be able to rotate with Hojbjerg and make sure both are protected from injury, given their physical style of play, as Winks and Sissoko aren’t the same sort of player”

@MattyFrench82

“Massive dub”

@xthfcisaac

“Love to see it”

@WatchtheMou

“star boy”

@_thfcjack

“stick him in a midfield 3 w Hoj and Ndombele, get in a proper RW and we might be sorted”

@fndology

“The end of winks”

@NdombeleFC

“Double pivot. Jose like it”

@sproutslim

“Hell yes”

@bigboihariz

Skipp is clearly an exciting young prospect, and it would certainly be interesting to see how he gets on in the Premier League next season.
