Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been reacting on Twitter after reports emerged linking them to a highly-rated Serie A centre-back.
Jose Mourinho’s men have one of the best defensive records in the Premier League this season, conceding 28 goals in 27 top-flight fixtures.
Nevertheless, the former Real Madrid and Inter boss is still keen to strengthen his options at the back, and Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic has been sounded out as a possible summer target.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato is reporting that La Viola are starting to become resigned to losing the 23-year-old in the coming months, with the Serbia international’s contract set to expire in 2022. It is claimed that Spurs have made contact with the player’s representatives over a potential deal.
After these were shared online by Hotspur Related, Spurs fans appear to be excited at the prospect of defensive reinforcements arriving in north London and are hopeful Milenkovic can be the first part of a successful summer window:
