A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to respond to news surrounding Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The 25-year-old midfielder was awarded the Danish Player of the Year whilst away with his national side after their 2-0 victory over Israel on Thursday night.
Spurs signed the Dane last summer from fellow Premier League side Southampton in a deal believed to be worth in the region of £15m, according to Sky Sports.
Since arriving at the north London club, Hojbjerg has played every single minute of Premier League action for Jose Mourinho and has found the back of the net once in those 29 appearances (via Transfermarkt).
Following Tottenham’s tweet to congratulate the midfielder, Spurs fans quickly added their congratulatory messages for the 25-year-old.
“Better than Vieira”
Has Hojbjerg been overplayed by Mourinho?
Yes
No
The £31.5m-rated midfielder has racked up over 2,600 minutes in the Premier League this season but was able to rest in Tottenham’s humiliating 3-0 away defeat to Dinamo Zagreb after picking up a yellow card in the first leg which meant he was suspended for the game in Croatia.
All in all, it is pretty clear to see Spurs fans have embraced the signing of Hojbjerg, who has evidently left a good impression on the Tottenham faithful since arriving last summer.
