Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to a rather impressive milestone that has been achieved by goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

The club’s Twitter account congratulated the Frenchman, because by virtue of his shutout against Burnley, he has now registered 100 clean sheets in his Premier League career. It certainly has been a long time in coming, as having joined the club in the summer of 2012 for just under £12m, he now becomes the 16th member to join the club and only the second goalkeeper to reach the landmark with clean sheets for Tottenham after Brad Friedel, as per Transfermarkt.

There has been plenty of speculation when it comes to his future at the club, with some reports suggesting that he could be in line to reunite with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain, but this post offered up a chance to talk about his past and present at the club, and fans were quick to offer up their praise for the Frenchman for his efforts:

“Hugo still might be the best shot-stopper in the world don’t at me”

“One of the best in World football today.”
“My captain”
“Look at these saves and tell me that Hugo Lloris hasn’t been one of the best goalkeepers in the prem, potentially even the world over the last 7/8 years”
“Yes he’s not been the most gifted with the ball at his feet and has been ropey in the air over the years.. but boy his reaction and agility around the goal line is certainly up there with the best for all of his Spurs career and still is! Saved spurs ridiculous amounts of times”
“God I love this man. What a player and captain, will be gutting if he leaves without lifting something with us”

Should Spurs sell Lloris in the summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

And with his contract not running out until next season, it begs the question how many more clean sheets he’ll be able to add to that number.
