One of the topics that the Football.london reporter spent some time on was Spurs’ upcoming Europa League match against Dinamo Zagreb.

The Croatian side beat Krasnodar in their last round after finishing top in their group, and Gold thinks that Zagreb will pose a threat.

He said: “What I would say, anyone underestimating what a tough test Thursday night is and saying that you can rotate everyone – you need to look a little bit into Dinamo Zagreb.

“Zagreb are top of the Croatian league, they’re clear with a game in hand; they’re unbeaten in the Europa League, and they’ve won their last six in a row, scored a lot of goals.

“They had a tough two legs against Krasnodar – and they are going to come with a lot of confidence, a lot of belief in their patterns of play, a lot of stability and consistency in the way they play.

“And if Spurs take their foot off the gas at all or if Mourinho goes in there really weakening his side, they’re going to get a bit of an upset on their hands, which is going to make the second leg even more difficult.”

TIF Thoughts on Zagreb…

If you look at their Europa League record this season, you can see that the Croatian side have not lost a game and topped their group, having scored nine goals and only conceded one, so they could cause Tottenham some problems.

However, Spurs are on a good run themselves, having won their last four games in all competitions, scoring 13 goals in the process.

So, this should be a fascinating encounter, and we will be intrigued to see how Spurs approach the game.
