Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been reacting on Twitter after Tanguy Ndombele took to Instagram following Sunday’s North London derby defeat.

Jose Mourinho’s men took the lead at the Emirates over the weekend, thanks to an incredible goal from Erik Lamela, but were ultimately punished for a poor performance, losing 2-1.

Goals from Norway international Martin Odegaard and a controversial penalty, which was won and converted by Alexandre Lacazette, sealed the three points for the Gunners and ended Tottenham’s five-game winning streak.

It was a disappointing day all round for Spurs, who ended the game with ten men after Lamela got sent off, but former Lyon midfielder Ndombele attempted to reassure the club’s supporters with a post that simply said: “Say focus…”

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium outfit are now six points behind the Champions League places, albeit with a game in hand over fourth-placed Chelsea, however, the fans are clearly concerned with how the 24-year-old has been performing of late.

“showreel player and not what we need … was absolutely dreadful yesterday”

@MFOD2010

“He. Looks. Really. Tired.”

@JR_THFC

“He was shocking yesterday but at least he said something”

@HassanTHFC1

“Only turns up against Sheffield and Wolfsberger”

@thfc_j

“Son, Tanguy, Pierre these guys ran out of gas.”

@hashwant_sriram

“Average”

@aamosgyan

Ndombele has had a decent second season for Spurs, as his respectable 6.93 Who Scored rating shows, but Sunday’s derby certainly wasn’t one of his better displays.
