Tottenham are keeping a close eye on Antonio Rudiger’s Chelsea contract talks, according to Football Insider.
Rudiger’s deal is due to expire next summer, and if talks were to stall, they claim that Spurs would look to pounce.
Spurs may well be looking for reinforcements in the centre of defence.
Toby Alderweireld has just turned 32, Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier are unconvincing and 23-year-old Joe Rodon is still finding his feet in the top flight.
Rudiger has reminded the league of his qualities under new boss Thomas Tuchel.
He has not missed a Premier League under his compatriot and has helped his side notch eight clean sheets in their last 10 matches (via Transfermarkt).
Most recently, he impressed at Anfield as Chelsea shut out Liverpool for a memorable win.

Football Insider claim Rudiger was close to a loan move to Spurs when Frank Lampard was still in charge, but under Tuchel he is back in favour and there seems to be no reason whatsoever for him to look elsewhere.
