Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest social media post concerning Lilywhites striker Harry Kane.

This comes after Spurs journalist Alasdair Gold recently shared a post on his official Twitter page that contained an article from Football.London relaying comments made by the striker to the club’s media after their 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League saying that the recent lack of fight and passion shown by the Spurs players in recent weeks leading up to the Villa match was “embarrassing.”

This post from Gold then gathered a lot of replies from Tottenham fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on what Kane had to say.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to Gold’s post on Kane’s comments?

“He is absolutely right”

@abhispurs

“More proof it’s the players than the manager…”

@KyranFlurry7

“He’s going to leave.”

@DanW400

“Not sure I want to read this”

@JakeELFC

“Well neither am I, nice for someone to also have those feelings, although he isn’t excused either but he can’t do it all each game.”

@Marc_MC_FIFA123

“Most of the so-called “big players” aren’t pulling their weight, and Jose knows, Levy should drain the swamp in the summer, enough is enough”
Given how leading up to the Villa win, Jose Mourinho’s side lost their Premier League clash against Arsenal before being knocked out of the Europa League thanks to a 3-0 defeat against Dinamo Zagreb, and the fact that Mourinho himself questioned his players’ attitude, it’s understandable why Kane was quick to blame himself and his fellow Spurs teammates for their fight and passion in recent weeks.

Who do you think was more to blame for Spurs' bad form before the international break?

However, with them managing to pick up the win at Villa before the international break, this could well have given them a springboard to put their previous run of poor form behind them and focus on the remainder of the season.
