The informant was reportedly behind the negative stories that broke recently regarding his training sessions, which suggested that many of his players find boring, too defensive and lacking in intensity.
According to the Daily Mail, Mourinho is now searching to identify the player behind the leaked information and previously defended his methods after the north London outfit slumped to a fifth defeat in six games against West Ham United a few weeks ago.
In response, the former Chelsea and Manchester United boss said: “Mine and my coaching staff methods are second to nobody in the world,” but Mourinho doesn’t appear to have the backing of large sections of the Spurs support.
“So this is it the beginning of Jose really destroying the club as he has done at previous clubs”
“I suspect its probably Mourinho, his whole ethos is based on fear, control and trying to blame others for his own failings.”
“He did the same in Real Madrid and got sacked History repeat!”
“It’s definitely started. Prepare yourself for weeks of headlines like this. The ‘him against the world’ leaks will be endless. I’d imagine digs against the club aren’t far away.”
“History repeating itself.”
“Always the victim. It’s never his fault”
It’s hard to have too much sympathy with the Portuguese in this instance due to his previous accusations at other clubs. At United, he also claimed there was a mole, at Chelsea, he called the players ‘rats’, and at Real Madrid, he reportedly labelled them as ‘traitors.’ There appears to be a growing theme amongst Mourinho’s management style.
