Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on Twitter after Gary Neville called out Davinson Sanchez during Spurs’ 2-0 victory over Aston Villa.

The Colombia international has become a first-team regular in recent weeks, starting the North London outfits last eight Premier League fixtures.

Jose Mourinho’s men have managed to keep four clean sheets in that time, and the 24-year-old has earned plaudits for his improved performances at the heart of the defence, but it appears as though Neville isn’t one of them.

While commentating for Sky Sports (via Hotspur Related), the former Manchester United defender let his feelings be known over the South American: “I am bemused by him. What is he doing? He is so rash! Stay on your feet,” he said, and several sections of the Spurs support disagree with him.

“He literally did nothing wrong man Neville hates us for some reason.”

@THFC_BLADE

“Agenda is clear. Wasn’t even a foul”

@HazzyLevy

“Bored of his agenda worst commentator there is”

@georgepigram5

“That was in no way a foul either”

@TanguyNdembele

“He’s being harsh he’s not even playing that bad”

@LJthfc_

“Agenda. Written it all down before the game, gonna say it regardless of what’s happening.”

Sanchez has done well for Spurs in recent weeks, as his very respectable 6.74 WhoScored rating shows, however, whether he is reliable enough to build a top defence around is still up for debate.
