Lots of Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been fuming at an update about Son Heung Min that recently emerged on social media.

The Korean Football Association recently posted a tweet on their official account, confirming their squad for the upcoming international break. The squad included Son, even though the Spurs star picked up an injury against Arsenal in the North London derby recently.

Jose Mourinho went on to say that Son’s injury was because of Spurs’ packed schedule and it was a muscle injury for the South Korean.

Son has been a highly important player for Spurs this season, with the 28-year-old scoring 13 times and picking up nine assists for the Lilywhites in the Premier League (as per Transfermarkt).

In all competitions, the winger has played 41 games for Mourinho’s men, scoring 18 times and also racking up 16 assists so far for them.

While he was replaced by Erik Lamela against Arsenal and the Argentine did score via a rabona, Lamela was sent off later in the game and Spurs lost 2-1.

The international break takes place later this month and there has been a suggestion that Premier League clubs will not allow players to travel for these games.

Having said that, Spurs are yet to fully assess Son’s fitness and injury and that will determine the extent of the issue. Only after assessing the winger’s fitness would Spurs allow him to travel for the international break. So that should make the Tottenham fans happy.
