Newcastle United fans have been reacting to a statement, or rather lack of one, from the club following claims of a rather bizarre incident at the training ground.

A report from The Daily Mail came out earlier this week that claimed Newcastle United winger Matt Ritchie and head coach Steve Bruce were involved in a ‘training ground bust-up’ recently, with Ritchie going so far as to call Bruce a ‘coward’. It’s claimed that the animosity stems from Ritchie apparently being blamed for not passing on tactical instructions fast enough ahead of Wolves’ equaliser at the weekend.

Local newspaper The Chronicle reached out to the club, but were met with ‘no comment’ from Newcastle United. This news was then relayed to the fans via the Newcastle United – Chronicle Facebook page, but the fans were not having any of it, seeing the refusal to comment as an example of just how badly the club is run:

It should be noted that Ritchie has reportedly apologised for his role in the matter, but overall it’s still not a good look for a club that is fighting a relegation battle.
