Test your knowledge of these Newcastle players' market values! How much do you think Miguel Almiron is worth?

One of the topics that The Chronicle reporter spent some time on was if Steve Bruce had lost the dressing room or not.

This follows on from an incident involving Matt Ritchie and concern over the number of days off being leaked to the press.

However, Douglas thinks that the Newcastle squad are still fighting for the manager.

He said: “I don’t think he’s lost the dressing room, that was the kind of talk the other week: ‘he’s lost the dressing room; the dressing room was split’.

“I think it’s a complex thing to say that they’ve lost the dressing room, you kind of lose bits of the dressing room; there are probably players in there who are really annoyed with him.

“He’s not lost the dressing room, [they are] still fighting for him, and now those are the kind of things that you just hope are going well, but it’s ridiculous.”

Do you think the players are still fighting for Bruce?

Yes, they are

Yes, they are

No, they have given up

No, they have given up

TIF Thoughts on the dressing room situation…

After both the Ritchie incident and the claim about days off were leaked to the press, Bruce promised he would track down whoever was responsible, and the reports did suggest that there were problems.

However, after falling behind in the 86th minute against Aston Villa, Newcastle showed great determination to fight back and snatch a point at the end of the game, which suggests that they are still fighting for Bruce.

However, with the Toon in 17th and running out of games to save themselves, how long will that last before the players maybe decide that Bruce isn’t the right man to lead the club?

It could all depend on what sort of results Newcastle pick up in the coming weeks.
