Test your knowledge of these Newcastle players' market values! How much do you think Miguel Almiron is worth?

One of the topics that Kennedy spent some time covering was Steve Bruce’s future after the Toon failed to beat Aston Villa on Friday night.

Newcastle’s 1-1 draw with Villa has left them in 17th place, two points above the relegation zone – and if Fulham win on Friday night, by the time the Toon kick-off against Brighton & Hove Albion, they will be in the relegation zone.

However, it doesn’t look like Bruce is in any trouble yet.

Kennedy said: “My understanding is that Steve Bruce has got the ultimate support of those people above.

“I think there is a good relationship between the people at the top of the club and Steve Bruce. Look, he’s under pressure, and if he keeps not getting results and Newcastle United slip closer and closer, there are going to be some awkward conversations going on at Newcastle United, but I don’t believe we’re at that stage yet.”

Do you think Bruce can keep Newcastle in the Premier League?

TIF Thoughts on Bruce…

The Toon have won just two league games since they beat West Bromwich Albion in December, and though they are unbeaten in their last three, they have failed to win any of those.

With just ten games to go and with Fulham in good form, draws are not enough for the Toon, and even if Fulham don’t win on Friday, you would think that Newcastle have to go to Brighton and win.

If they don’t win at the Amex, then it is hard to see where the Toon are going to pick up points as they face the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Leicester City after that.

Bruce has to find a way out of this situation, or he will have a third Premier League relegation on his CV.

In truth, we think he should have gone a while ago, but the club have stood by him, and now he must repay their faith.
