Lee Ryder has been speaking on the latest edition of the Everything is Black & White podcast about all things relating to Newcastle United.

Test your knowledge of these Newcastle players' market values! How much do you think Miguel Almiron is worth?

One of the topics that he spent a little bit of time on was Elliot Anderson.

The 18-year-old is highly regarded by many at Newcastle’s training ground and made his Premier League debut against Arsenal.

The Toon are without Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin until after the international break at the end of this month, so could Anderson be given a chance in the first team?

Ryder would certainly like to see him involved judging by these comments.

He said: “He is an unbelievable talent, and anyone who knows his background will know that he is up for this, and he’s going to be delighted if he gets that chance.

“Personally, if it [were] me picking the team, I would have him in. There’s no doubt about it. I would have him in from the start.”

Do you want to see Anderson involved on Sunday?

TIF Thoughts on Anderson’s involvement…

Steve Bruce has talked Anderson up in the past, and with Saint-Maximin and Almiron missing, now could be the perfect time for him to stake a claim.

Ryder is not the first to suggest Anderson’s potential inclusion amid the Toon’s injury concerns, with reporter Liam Kennedy also singing his praises as his possible opportunity awaits.

Newcastle do have other attacking options but we would like to see Anderson at least play some part in the game against West Bromwich Albion.

He is well thought of and considered to be highly talented, so why not give him a chance?

Clearly, Ryder wants to see him involved, and we would have to agree with The Chronicle reporter on that one.

However, it remains to be seen what happens, but he wasn’t involved for the Toon’s Under-23s on Friday, so you would expect he will at least be part of the squad on Sunday.
