Plenty of Newcastle United fans have issued a plea to the club after the performance of Tom Allan for the U23 side.
The club haven’t had the best of luck when it comes to injuries in the forward department recently, with Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almirón as well as Callum Wilson all going down with various knocks, and whilst they are reportedly all set to return soon, whether or not they’ll be 100% match fit is still somewhat up in the air.
Luckily though, it appears as though the club do have an option to turn to in the form of 21-year-old Allan who scored both goals as the U23 side drew 2-2 with their Fulham counterparts. So it was no surprise then that fans were demanding that he be given a chance in their next Premier League game:
“So why not give the lad a chance in the first team?”
Do you think Bruce can keep Newcastle in the Premier League?
No, not a chance
Yes, he could
Although it’s not as if you can say ‘what do they have to lose’ in this situation, as Premier League survival is very much on the line. It’s probably something you’d rather give a go when you’ve got nothing left to fight for and can afford to take a few risks.
