Atsu has not made a single first-team appearance for Newcastle this season since he featured in the Toon’s 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in the .

His contract expires at the end of the season, and given his lack of game time, we would be surprised if he ended up staying for much longer.

In his time on Tyneside, he has made 121 appearances and only scored eight goals and provided a further ten assists, so it is no real surprise to see him barely involved this season.
