Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news surrounding the Tyneside club.

This comes after Newcastle-focused Twitter account @NUFC360 shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in a report from Football Insider.

Test your knowledge of these Newcastle players' market values! How much do you think Miguel Almiron is worth?

The report claims that several Toon players have discussed demanding a face-to-face meeting with the club’s managing director Lee Charnley after reportedly being left in shock at the club backing Steve Bruce after their recent 3-0 defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Toon fans who were not shy in airing their thoughts on this latest update.

So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say in response to this latest piece of behind-the-scenes news?

“Get in. This exactly what is needed. At the very least bruce may start listening to the players”

@LittleHenryD

“Please be true”

@daveyshore

This needs to happen. Ashley won’t listen to the fans so we need the players to take a stand. #BruceOut #nufc”

@MGRunner

“Good on them hope this is true”

@sxmnufc_

“They should just refuse to play under him”

@deepROSSed

If the players expected him to go they are not playing for him. Dressing room has long gone. #Bruceout #NUFC.”

@seant1789

Given how Newcastle are currently just two points ahead of the relegation zone in 17th place in the Premier League table and without a win in their previous six league fixtures, it’s understandable why the players would not be happy with the club being reportedly happy to stick with Bruce and why these fans are keen to see him leave.

Do you think the players have had enough of Bruce?

Yes

No

No

Moving forward, Bruce now has nine league games left to try and avoid the drop to the Championship, and if the club do intend to keep him, he will need to get the players all fighting for him and the fans to try and pick up as many points as possible. This report and the reaction to it suggests he has neither going for him at the moment.
