A lot of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to respond to Isaac Hayden’s tweet following their defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday night.
The Magpies fell to Brighton in a 3-0 defeat on the south coast in what was a huge game for both sides in their hopes for survival this season.
Not only did Newcastle suffer defeat, but they also saw midfielder Hayden stretchered off in the first half after an accidental collision with Yves Bissouma.
Hayden has featured 24 times in the Premier League for the Toon and despite not scoring or providing any assists (via Transfermarkt), it seems the Toon Army will miss the midfielder if he is out for an extended length of time, judging by these responses:
“So so gutted”
“Such a shame best player this year worry what’s gonna happen without you in front of the defence. Fair play Bissouma no blame pure accident hope to see you soon worry it’ll be a while though”
“Get well soon Isaac, gutted to be losing you but don’t rush yourself back. We’ll be really counting on you for the tough fixtures against Luton and Coventry!”
“All the best Isaac, hope you’re back on pitch in black and white soon”
“One of very few that show hunger and passion for our club. Pride to wear the black and white. A lot of others have no right to ever claim that. Spineless and gutless. Speedy recovery pal and thank you for actually caring”
“Good luck Issac, take care and come back when right. Your performances will be missed. Just hope your teammates can fill in and show your passion for us as fans, team & city.”
Will Hayden be a massive miss for NUFC?
All in all, it is clear to see the Newcastle fans will miss the passion and desire which they feel Hayden brings to their side especially given the situation they find themselves in as they battle the prospect of relegation.
