Many Newcastle United fans have reacted on Facebook to the reported news of Jack Grealish’s return following a spell on the sideline through injury.
Steve Bruce’s side face Aston Villa on Friday night in the Premier League with the Magpies sitting perilously close to the relegation zone with 18th-placed Fulham just one point behind.
However, a report from The Chronicle has suggested Steve Bruce’s side may face Villa’s star player Jack Grealish, who could make his comeback from injury against the struggling Magpies.
Grealish has missed Villa’s last four games after it was reported the England star suffered a shin injury during a Villa training session.
The 25-year-old has scored six times in the league this season in his 22 appearances and has recorded 12 assists across those games (via Transfermarkt).
It was clear to see on The Chronicle’s Facebook page the Toon Army were not pleased to hear the news of Grealish’s potential return on Friday.
Can NUFC survive the drop this season?
Newcastle fans clearly feel they are facing an uphill task if they want to survive the drop this season and this news on Grealish’s fitness has certainly not helped their confidence going into Friday’s game.
