A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from NUFC 360, which includes an alternative Premier League table from the last two seasons.
The table appears to show the combined table of the teams who have played in the Premier League during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.
What can be seen is that out of 17 teams to have featured in both campaigns, the Toon rank in 15th place, having played 65 games and picked up a terrible 71 points with a goal difference of -37 – which is the worst in the league.
This table has drawn in these Toon fans, who are fuming.
“Says it all”
“Unsustainable. Enough’s enough. Deserved a chance and not to be hammered as soon as he walked through the door but the facts speak for themselves now”
“Absolutely horrendous. What a horrific manager.”
Are you shocked by this table?
Yes, I knew we were bad but not this bad
No, we are awful
This table clearly shows how bad Newcastle have been under Steve Bruce, yet he is still somehow the manager.
They are currently on a run of two league wins in 15 and are one point above the relegation zone, and now this table shows just how poor the Toon have been.
This post continued to draw in angry Newcastle fans.
“GA only better than Southampton’s who shipped 18 goals in 2 games. A defensive side who can’t defend. Woeful”
“BrUcE iS dOiNg GoOd JoB. He BeStEsT. SuCh GoOd MaNgEr.”
“The Worst GD !! #BruceOut”
These are concerning statistics, to say the least, and you would think that they could only get worse as the season goes on with Bruce remaining in charge.
