Lots of Newcastle United fans have flocked to Lee Ryder’s tweet which carried some comments from Steve Bruce.

Lee Ryder recently posted a tweet about the situation of Bruce, who said that his concern in the game against Brighton was the fact that the players just switched off and the concentration levels just weren’t there. He also said that the lack of concentration was typified by the first goal itself.

Bruce also urged the players to be better on the pitch, if they want to have a chance at surviving the drop. Ryder’s tweet about this drew the attention of many Newcastle United fans, who made their views clear about Bruce.

What did NUFC fans make of Bruce’s comments?

“What worried me was Brighton played with heart and 2 strikers both scored, Bruce on the other hand placed his 2 strikers in the cheap seats unbelievable!

“His way with words makes my head explode. I imagine covering as media is frustrating and infuriating. I hope the next manager is more open, direct, and precise. Sure the players do too.

The Magpies lost 3-0 to Brighton at the weekend, as the Seagulls got goals from Leandro Trossard, Danny Welbeck and Neal Maupay. The defeat left Bruce’s men at 17th in the Premier League table and while they have a game in hand, Fulham are only two points behind them.

Test your knowledge of these Newcastle players' market values! How much do you think Miguel Almiron is worth?

In the game, Newcastle registered only three attempts on goal and they had only 34.7% of possession (as per WhoScored).

“Lee with the greatest respect. I am not going to bother reading the article. I am fed up to the back teeth of Bruce. I’m done.

Clearly, a lot of these Newcastle fans are angry at Bruce and they want him gone from the club soon.

The Magpies last won a Premier League game back in early February and since the turn of the year, they’ve won only two games so far. The last time they picked up consecutive wins was back in November last year (as per WhoScored).

These are extremely ominous signs and considering the performance against Brighton, it is easy to see why fans want Bruce gone.
