A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from The Chronicle, which contains a link to an article on their site about Steve Bruce’s future at the Toon.
They claim that Mike Ashley watched Newcastle’s abysmal 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion from the United Arab Emirates.
Still, it seems as if Bruce retains the “full support” of the Newcastle owner and that no change will be made over the international break.
It is claimed that the pay-off that Bruce would get if Ashley decided to sack him was a factor, but the deciding factor was Ashley’s loyalty to Bruce.

There were also claims that many players are amazed that Bruce still has Ashley’s support, and they requested a meeting with Lee Charnley to discuss this.

It seems beyond bizarre that a manager who has won just two games since the 12th of December still has his job, and Newcastle are firmly in a relegation battle, and in this form, it is hard to see them getting out of it.
