Nice easy one to start off with, who currently sits top of the table?

On the subject of Neto and the interest in him from clubs in the Premier League, Castles had this to say about City’s interest in particular. (3.11)

He said: “One of the clubs that are interested and have been interested in Pedro Neto in England are Manchester City.

“I’m told that when they were watching and paying attention to Adama Traore last season and spending time at Wolves games, as Neto was becoming more of a fixture in the team, they started to see the quality of his play and considered that he might be a better fit for their team than Traore and they continue to hold an interest.”

Wolves signed Neto in the 2019 summer transfer window from Italian club Lazio for a fee of £16.11 million.

Since his arrival at Molineux, the 21-year-old, who is currently valued at £31.5 million, has made 77 appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side across all competitions in which he has managed to score 10 goals and provide nine assists in the process (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts on Duncan Castles’ comments on City’s interest in Neto…

With Neto being Wolves’ current joint-top goalscorer (5) and provided more assists (5) than any other Wolves player so far this season with a season rating of 7.13/10, making him their highest-rated player, it’s understandable why Pep Guardiola’s side would have an interest in the winger at this moment in time.

Would you like to see City sign Pedro Neto this summer?

No

However, given how City currently have Ferran Torres and Riyad Mahrez in their squad that play on the right-wing, then perhaps a summer move for Neto would be rather unnecessary from the Citizens.
