Many Leeds United fans have been reacting to the latest accolade handed out to forward Patrick Bamford.

The 27-year-old, valued at £16.2m on Transfermarkt, has had an incredible season in the Premier League so far, with 14 goals and 7 assists, and managed to head into the international break on a high with a goal and an assist in Leeds United’s 2-1 victory over Fulham.

And he has been highly rewarded for his effort in that game, as EA Sports have named him in their Team Of The Week on FIFA 21, the third time that he has received the honour this season.

Delighted to see Bamford get some form of recognition for his accomplishments, there were plenty of fans ready on social media ready to praise him for his efforts, although there were a couple of them who felt that true recognition would come from being named in the England squad by Gareth Southgate:

“YESSSSSSSSS”

“Hold me”
“Yes put some respect on that man’s name. Well deserved”
“Imagine not selecting him for England”
“Gareth lad are you watching”
“It’s GOAT season”

Do you think Bamford deserves an England call-up?

Yes, definitely

Yes, definitely

No, he hasn't done that much

No, he hasn't done that much

Still, there’s plenty of time left in the season for him to convince Southgate to change his mind on that front, but at least he’s getting some recognition.
