Leeds United supporters have been reacting to a post on Facebook after an update on Ezgjan Alioski’s future was provided.

The 29-year-old has started 20 Premier League games for Marcelo Bielsa’s men this season, scoring two goals in the process, but has been linked with a move away from the west Yorkshire outfit this summer.

Alioski’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign and has reportedly been offered a new deal by the club but with no success.

The contract standoff has led to reports suggesting that the North Macedonia international has signed a pre-contract agreement with Turkish giants Galatasaray, one of Leeds’ fiercest rivals.

According to Phil Hay on his podcast (via MOT Leeds), the former Young Boys defender is yet to formally agree to a move to Gala and Leeds want him to stay, although they are refusing to up the offer that is on the table.

However, Alioski’s potential imminent departure hasn’t got the Leeds supporters too worried, with most hoping an improved full-back will take his place.

Alioski has been a good servant to the Whites, playing a pivotal part in their promotion back to the Premier League, but his 6.55 WhoScored rating suggests he has found life in the English top-flight tricky, and his exit shouldn’t hit Bielsa’s men too hard.
