This comes after Myers recently made an appearance on a recent episode of The Sky Sports Football Podcast where he discussed a number of topics concerning the Merseyside club.

Nice easy one to start off with, who currently sits top of the table?

On the subject of what the general mood and feeling is around Carlo Ancelotti’s side at the moment, Myers had this to say on the matter.

He said: “It’s a good mood, I think. I think that there’s a lot of confidence around the club, but what I would describe it as is probably growing confidence, and a confidence which is building week by week, month by month.”

So far this season, Everton have won 14 out of their 27 played league games prior to the Burnley game, drawing four and losing nine, putting them in sixth place in the league table.

Their latest league match saw them fall to a 2-0 defeat away at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea thanks to an own goal from Ben Godfrey and a second-half penalty from Jorginho.

TIF Thoughts on Alan Myers’ comments on the current mood at Everton…

Given how Ancelotti’s side are currently just three points away from equalling their overall points tally from the previous season (49), it comes as no surprise that Myers has revealed that there is a good mood around Goodison at this moment in time and that Everton have the belief that they can continue to grow and improve on their previous league campaign.

Do you think Everton will finish in the top four this season?

Moving forward, if the Toffees can end their current season with a consistent run of positive results and strong performances, starting with their match against Burnley, this would certainly prove just how much they have progressed since last season.
