In what month did Mikel Arteta take over as the Arsenal boss?

One of the clubs that he talked about in detail was Arsenal, and one of the players he mentioned was Martin Odegaard.

The Norwegian is on loan from Real Madrid at the Emirates Stadium and has made 11 appearances in all competitions, during which he has scored two goals.

Odegaard also scored in the north London derby, and Romano revealed that the Gunners want to keep him.

He said: “They will meet, Real Madrid and Arsenal. I can say that Arsenal have the intention of keeping Martin Odegaard. They are so happy with the player, they are so happy with the guy, they are so happy with the professional. So really great feelings around Odegaard.

“They hope to keep the player, they will meet with Real Madrid at the end of the season, they will decide together.

“The situation is open because at the moment there is nothing agreed – but Arsenal are so, so happy with him, so they will try to keep him but [they] will decide [with] Real Madrid, so at the moment the situation is still the same.”

Do you want the club to sign Odegaard?

TIF Thoughts on Odegaard…

It looks like Arsenal are very happy with Odegaard and want to find some way to keep him, which we think could be a great move for the Gunners.

Since he joined on loan, the Gunners have only lost three games in which the 22-year-old has featured, so he has clearly had a good impact on the team.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the summer with Odegaard, but it is clear that the Gunners would like to keep him and we think he would be a good permanent addition to Mikel Arteta’s side based on his start to life in north London.
