Phil Hay has been speaking on the latest edition of The Athletic’s The Phil Hay Show about all things relating to Leeds United.

Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

One topic that Hay spent a little bit of time on was Jack Harrison’s future with the 24-year-old currently in his third season on loan at Elland Road.

However, it looks like that loan deal will finally be made permanent at the end of the season, with the Whites set to activate his option to buy clause.

Hay said: “Leeds have got the option to take Jack Harrison from Manchester City, and my understanding of that is that it will happen; it’s as good as done, and it will be an £11m deal.

“I feel, having watched Harrison this season, I still think that’s a really good deal; I think that’s worth doing and good value at that price.”

Do you want to sign Harrison permanently?

Yes, he deserves it

TIF Thoughts on Harrison…

The 24-year-old has impressed for the Whites this season, having scored six goals and provided four assists in 25 league games and earning an average rating of 6.9/10 (as per WhoScored), which puts him in sixth place in Leeds’ squad.

However, the goals and assists have dried up for Harrison in recent games as he has failed to score or provide an assist in his last four league games.

Still, he is a player who has improved massively under Marcelo Bielsa and clearly found a place where he is settled.

Since joining the club initially on loan in the 2018/19 season, Harrison has made 117 appearances for the club, yet he hasn’t actually joined them permanently yet, which seems bizarre.

Therefore, we think that the Whites signing Harrison would make perfect sense for all parties and would allow him to continue his spell with Leeds.
