Leeds United: Fans slam Ayling’s Fulham display

Fans of Leeds United have taken to Twitter to react to the performance of Luke Ayling in their 2-1 win over Fulham on Friday night.

The 29-year-old played the full 90 minutes against the 18th-placed Fulham and the full-back thought he had given his side the lead after just 10 minutes but the goal was disallowed for offside against Tyler Roberts.

Ayling joined Leeds back in 2016 from Bristol City for just under £800k and has gone on to start every game for the Yorkshire club this season in the Premier League (via Transfermarkt).

Despite his low transfer fee, the United fans did not hold back with their criticism of the 29-year-old’s display against the Cottagers.

All in all, it is clear to see that the Leeds fans did not believe this was one of Ayling’s finer performances which comes just days after some had tipped the 29-year-old as an outsider for Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
