Can you remember where Leeds finished in these league seasons? First up: 2018/19

So far this season, according to the statistics, the 22-year-old’s level of performance has been rather poor, with the Welshman averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.29/10 over his 16 Premier League appearances – a rating that ranks him as the club’s sixth-worst performer in the top flight.

And, after Pope shared footage of the interview on Twitter, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many reaffirming their belief that the attacking midfielder is not good enough for the Premier League.

No

So, what exactly did these Leeds United fans have to say in reaction to the footage of Tyler Roberts?

“Proof is in the pudding. For me, personally, Roberts is only a Championship player. No way good enough for the Premiership. To be honest, Leeds do have a lot of Championship players. Done well this season. To be fighting for a top 5 finish next season we need GREAT players.”

@DazzleCarpets

“Sadly, he is being consistent; that’s the issue. He’s miles off what we need.”

@burdinho

“Inconsistent frustrating but definitely a talent. Bielsa rates him so let’s see how he develops.”

@baz18mitch

“He’s been consistent, unfortunately consistently not good enough.”

@PMD31

“He’s got talent but games just pass him by, more aggressive and you’d see a different player.”

@jbs699

“Not Premiership level in a million years.”

@msellers442

“He’s Championship material, not PL.”

@CuriousCrowArt

“Consistently rubbish.”

@flyhsuk

All in all, it would appear as if these Leeds United fans believe Roberts is simply not cut out to be a Premier League footballer, and despite his tender age, his performances so far this season would appear to back them up.
