Fans of United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Whites centre-back Diego Llorente reflected on the club’s recent draw with Chelsea.

In Saturday’s 0-0 stalemate with Thomas Tuchel’s side, Llorente highly impressed, with the £18 million-rated defender making three clearances, one interception and two tackles, culminating in a SofaScore match rating of 7.1.

Can you remember where Leeds finished in these league seasons? First up: 2018/19

And, following the fixture, the Spain international took to Twitter to share his thoughts on his side’s display, stating his belief that it was a “ effort from the whole team,” before claiming it was “very important to get a clean sheet again.”

In reaction to his comments, fans of Leeds then flocked to have their say on the matter, with many singling out the centre-back for considerable amounts of praise for his own performance against Chelsea.

Should Llorente start ahead of Cooper from now on?

So, what exactly did these fans have to say in reaction to Diego Llorente’s post on Twitter?

“Two games in a row you have been our best player, in my opinion. Hope you stay injury-free.”

“We can clearly see why you’re a Spanish international you’re absolutely on fire since you came back from injury, Diego. Brilliant distributor of the ball on top of being a quality defender.”

“Rolls Royce player and only going to get better.”

“This Mr Glass I thought he’d never play but I see why Leeds got you – absolute baller pushes forward a bit like . Quality player.”

“Well played today the understanding at the back between you all made the difference. Intelligent play at the back.”

“1st class today Diego, keep up that form and who knows where we’ll finish!”

“You and Struijk today were unbelievable, keep it up big man our Spanish international.”

“Well played thought you were immense today.”

“Man of the Match for me Diego. Love that.”

All in all, it would appear as if these Leeds United fans were delighted with the display of Llorente on Saturday, and, considering the fact that the centre-back’s SofaScore rating ranked him as the club’s fifth-best player in the fixture, it is not difficult to understand why.
