A lot of Leeds United fans have flocked to a post from Adam Pope, which contains comments made by Diego Llorente.

Can you remember where Leeds finished in these league seasons? First up: 2018/19

The Spaniard was interviewed on BBC Radio by Pope, and Llorente claimed that while he was injured, he took the time to “immerse” himself in Leeds both as a city and a club.

This has clearly delighted these Whites fans, who were full of praise for Llorente.

He looks top class to me even though a little rusty. Gives us a bit of aggression and reads the game great. Also varies his passing from long to short and brings ball out too”

“He’s quality”

@EddieLufc

I think we sign character as much as talent. I have a feeling he’s a nice bloke.”

Have you been impressed by Llorente?

Llorente had a horrible start to his career at Elland Road as injury kept him out of most of the Whites’ league games.

However, he has now put a bit of a run together and has played the full 90 minutes in Leeds’ last four league games, so hopefully, he has put those injury issues behind him.

This post continued to draw in many Leeds fans.

Llorente’s future at Leeds is bright. He is a class player and will only get better.”

@29Crown

Look at the way he’s playing now after those injuries he had imagine what he will be like if he stays relatively injury-free for next season. He’s absolute quality”

Future captain”

It is clear from many of these tweets that many Whites fans are happy with both Llorente’s comments and how he is performing on the pitch.

Llorente, who is valued at £18m by Transfermarkt, is a full Spain international and made 138 La Liga appearances while he was in Spain, so he clearly has the pedigree to play for Leeds, and it is good to see that he has fully invested himself into the club and the city.
