Leeds United fans have been reacting on Twitter after Robin Koch made his long-awaited return from injury for the youth team.

The German international started Leeds’ first 11 Premier League fixtures at the beginning of the campaign but sustained a serious knee injury within the first 10 minutes of action when the Whites took on Chelsea at the start of December.

Koch was an unused substitute after he featured on Marcelo Bielsa’s bench over the weekend as Leeds welcomed the Blues to Elland Road for the reverse fixture.

However, the 24-year-old has now had his first taste of football in over three months, starting for the Under-23s in a 2-1 victory over Newcastle United’s youth side, and his return to action clearly pleased the Leeds supporters.

With Diego Llorente recently recovering from injury as well, Bielsa suddenly appears to have strength in depth at the heart of defence, and it will be interesting to see what partnership he opts for after the international break.
