Leeds United fans have been discussing the future of winger Helder Costa following some comments made by Alan Hutton.
The 27-year-old, valued at £9m on Transfermarkt, has had a reasonable season in the Premier League so far, with a return of two goals and three assists all whilst not exactly being able to hold down a regular place in the starting eleven. It’s a bit of a step down from last year in the Championship where he had four goals, six assists and was a regular in the team throughout the campaign.
And speaking to Football Insider, Hutton questioned whether or not he might be more suited to life in the Championship rather than in the top flight after tipping the winger to find regular first-team football next season, saying: “There’ll be a lot of teams, especially high Championship teams, that will be interested.”
His comments were relayed to fans on the Leeds Insider Facebook page, where there were many fans who were more than happy to see him leave the club at some point, believing he’s not up to scratch:
Is Helder Costa good enough to play at Premier League level?
The question now is how much of their original £16m fee they’ll be able to get back if they do decide to sell.
