Leeds United fans have been reacting to some potentially worrying statistics when it comes to their side this season.

It certainly has been a memorable season for Leeds United, having taken the Premier League by storm with their ‘entertaining’ style of play – and at one point of the campaign being tipped as one of the better teams to ever get promoted from the Championship.

Can you remember where Leeds finished in these league seasons? First up: 2018/19

But that doesn’t mean this season has been without its flaws, as this statistic from @LUFCDATA shows. After last night’s game, Marcelo Bielsa’s men have now conceded 11 headed goals in the Premier League this season, which is more than any other side in the division. On top of that, they’ve also conceded 10 goals from corners and eight penalties.

So whilst Bielsa’s style of play has come in for some high praise at times, there is still a pretty big weakness for other teams to exploit, and it has left some Leeds United fans rather angry:

“He needs to fix this and quick. Why are so useless at defending set-pieces.”

“Not acceptable. In fact it’s a disgrace. Unfortunately, some of our players have reached their ceiling, and it’s starting to cost us.”
“I know we get called naive all the time but the penalties situation is getting ridiculous now”
“Just got to be stronger is so simple it’s stupid!!!”
“Our defending has been abysmal at times this season. Do we actually think it will be different personnel next year though? I think he’ll still start Coops and probably Ayling. Needs to be ruthless with improving the squad next year or we’ll not progress”
“Why haven’t we improved on this? I don’t understand… this has happened all season. They just showed us West Ham scoring the same header to which they did in the first game… are we unable to learn or something?”

Certainly, this is something that Bielsa might have to work on moving forward into next season if they want to progress.
