Lots of Leeds United fans have been fuming at a comment from Jermaine Jenas that recently emerged on social media.

Jenas was recently talking on the MOTD panel and he talked about Leeds, their campaign and their future in the season (via Leeds Live).

The ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder believes that the Whites have had a ‘great season’ so far and they should be delighted with how their campaign has been. But the pundit also went on to say that following Patrick Bamford’s injury against Chelsea, they could struggle for goals in the next few games.

What did Leeds fans make of Jenas’ comments?

The Whites were held to a 0-0 draw against Chelsea at Elland Road, as Bamford was taken off and was replaced by Rodrigo Moreno.

Can you remember where Leeds finished in these league seasons? First up: 2018/19

It has been reported that Bamford had only suffered a dead leg and the injury wasn’t as serious as it was first feared.

Rodrigo, who came on, for Bamford, has scored three goals in the Premier League so far and has also picked up one assist, despite having sustained a period of injury troubles (as per Transfermarkt).

A lot of these Leeds fans aren’t impressed by what Jenas had to say and they don’t think that their team will suffer in the absence of Bamford.

If Bamford is missing though, it might prove to be a blow for Leeds. The forward has contributed to 30% of Leeds’ goals this season, scoring 13 times in the Premier League.

So the fact that Bamford only sustained a minor issue would be a boost for the Whites.
