Derby County journalist Ryan Conway has been sharing his thoughts on Rams striker Colin Kazim-Richards and his current run of form for the Midlands club.

This comes after Conway recently uploaded a video onto his YouTube channel where he reflected on Derby’s recent 1-0 defeat at home to Millwall in the Championship.

An easy one to kick off our quiz on the 2020 summer transfer window in the EFL, which player left Birmingham City to join Borussia Dortmund?

On the topic of Kazim-Richards, who played the entire game against Millwall at the weekend, Conway had this to say about the forward and his current run of form for Wayne Rooney’s side. (20.54)

He said: “He looks like he’s trying. He just looks a little bit knackered, to be honest with you.

“I mean, he’s got through a lot of minutes recently, he looks a little bit tired, but yeah, that doesn’t excuse it, he was quiet [against Millwall].”

Derby signed the striker back in October on a free transfer with his deal set to run out at the end of the current season.

Since arriving at Pride Park, the 34-year-old, who is currently valued at £540k, has made 28 appearances for the Rams in the Championship that has seen him score seven goals and provide two assists in the process (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts on Ryan Conway’s comments on Colin Kazim-Richards…

Given how Kazim-Richards managed to earn himself the lowest match rating of any player that made an appearance in the game at Pride Park at the weekend and had the fewest amount of touches than any Derby player that started the game shows that he didn’t have a great match against Millwall.

Do you think Kazim-Richards needs to be rested?

No

Taking into account what Conway had to say about Kazim-Richards potentially being tired, perhaps this game against Millwall could persuade Rooney to take the striker out of the team for a period of time for him to get a rest considering he has played 90 minutes in all of Derby’s three previous league fixtures.
