Fans of Celtic have taken to Twitter to criticise the performance of the Bhoys centre-forward, Albian Ajeti, in the club’s Scottish Premiership fixture against St Mirren.

Since joining Celtic from West Ham United in what was a £4.95 million deal back in August, Ajeti has so far gone on to score six goals and provide one assist over his 19 Premiership appearances, averaging a disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.71 – ranking him as the club’s 11th-worst performer in the Scottish top flight.

And, despite his side winning 4-0 against St Mirren on Wednesday evening, many fans of Celtic appeared unsatisfied with the performance of the £4.05 million-rated 23-year-old, with many taking to Twitter to criticise the striker’s display.

So, what exactly did these Celtic fans have to say in reaction to the performance of Albian Ajeti against St Mirren?

“Ajeti playing instead of Griffiths is criminal”

@dickieboy8

“Take Ajeti off. Absolute waste of a jersey tonight”

@fordus91

“Ajeti is a passenger we can ill afford right now.”

@sootymc20

“Ajeti is miles off it, so is Edouard mind you.”

@MartinQ11783344

“Ajer has been the most inventive with those runs up the park, we seem to pass back more than go forward, slack passes and no link up with Ajeti & Edouard yet, Ajeti looks lost”

@StaceyDevlinxxx

“4 goals & not 1 from Ajeti. A lot say he will come good but I can’t see it. Hopefully am proved wrong”

@jaimelawson08

“I thought I was too far gone to feel anger this season but Christie on for Ajeti is TESTING me”

@chibchenko

“Tell you something, I would not like to play in the same team as Ajeti. His work rate and body language are atrocious. Do not like his type of player at all”

@DavidJo70904530

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Celtic fans are far from happy with the performance of Ajeti, with some claiming that they cannot see a future for the striker at Parkhead, while others commented on the 23-year-old’s apparent poor body language.

And, it’s safe to say his performance perhaps deserved a few critics as he was rated as the Hoops’ worst performer from the starting XI with a rating of 6.4 (as per WhoScored).
